REF Cream Developer Mixing Instructions

REF Cream Developer Mixing Instructions

We recommend mixing all colours, including Blonde.ID Bleach, in a non-metallic bowl with a REF Cream Developer, using a non-metal whisk for a smooth consistency. As with any colour, ensure mixing is done in a well-ventilated area. Processing time and mixing ratio will vary based on the product, hair colour, porosity, and condition. It will also depend on the application technique, the volume of hydrogen peroxide, and the number of levels being lifted.

Aqua (Water), Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-30, Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Lauryl Alcohol, Parfum (Fragrance), Myristyl Alcohol, Hexyldecyl Laurate, Heyldecanol, Etidronic Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Oxyquinoline Sulfate, Simethicone, Ceteareth-20, Laureth-3, Hydrolyzed Quinoa, Benzyl Alcohol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate.

General Guidelines Mix in a non-metallic bowl with a non-metal whisk in a well-ventilated area. Use scales for precise ratios, wear gloves, and perform a sensitivity test. Apply to dry, unwashed hair (or towel-dried if specified). Use REF developers only with REF colour products. 1. Cream Developer – 10 Volume (3%) Purpose: Level-on-level colouring, toning, or grey coverage (1 level lift). Mixing: Permanent Colour: 1:1 (e.g., 30g colour + 30g developer). Toning: 1:1:1 (e.g., 30g colour + 30g developer + 30g water). Application: Apply to dry hair; for toning, use towel-dried hair. Process 20–45 min. Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly, shampoo, condition. 2. Cream Developer – 20 Volume (6%) Purpose: Lifts 1–2 levels for colouring or grey coverage. Mixing: Permanent Colour: 1:1 or 1:2 (e.g., 30g colour + 30–60g developer). Blonde.ID Bleach: 1:2 (e.g., 30g bleach + 60g developer). Application: Apply to dry hair, start at darkest areas. Bleach off-scalp first. Process 30–50 min. Rinsing: Rinse, shampoo, condition. 3. Cream Developer – 30 Volume (9%) Purpose: Lifts 2–3 levels for lightening. Mixing: Permanent Colour: 1:1 or 1:2. Blonde.ID Bleach: 1:2. Application: Apply to dry hair, avoid scalp for bleaching unless healthy. Process 30–50 min. Rinsing: Rinse, shampoo, condition. 4. Cream Developer – 40 Volume (12%) Purpose: Lifts 3–4 levels for maximum lightening (professional use only). Mixing: Permanent Colour: 1:1 or 1:2. Blonde.ID Bleach: 1:2. Application: Apply to dry hair, avoid scalp. Process up to 50 min, check every 5 min. Rinsing: Rinse, shampoo, condition. 5.
